About the event

DETAILS/RULES:

- Use at least one round or large square. Smaller squares may be used to accompany larger bales.

- Open to individuals, businesses, and organizations.

- No large bales are allowed on the sidewalks around the Historic Yates Center Town Square. Businesses located on the four sides of the Historic Yates Center Town Square should enter the Light Pole Decorating contest hosted by GN Bank.

- Location can be anywhere in Woodson County. Locations close to 54/75 highways are strongly encouraged.

- Bales should be family-friendly please.  No vulgar, sexual, or political decorations allowed.

- Complete online registration and email a photo to marketing@revitalizeyc.com prior to 5:00PM Sunday, October 8th to be included in the contest.

- Displays can be created NOW...they just must be registered by October 8th to be included in the map and contest.

- A map including each display's location will be created.

- Voting will be held in-person at HayFest. $1 donation = 1 vote. The display receiving the highest number of votes will win.

- Prizes: 1st Place = $200, 2nd Place = $100, 3rd Place = $50

- Displays should remain intact through October 15th.

- If you need haybales for your display, Hatch Hay has generously agreed to provide them for a $10 fee, which includes delivery and pick-up. Deliveries will begin October 1st and pick-ups will begin the 3rd week of October. Please contact Linda at 620-433-0800 to schedule.
