Hay Bale Decorating Contest and Self-Tour:

There are 26 bale displays registered for this contest, PLUS displays all around the beautiful Square.

Printed maps and a QR code will be available at Hay Fest of all locations of decorated hay bales. Take the family for a fun cruise around the county to see all the fun displays!

Vote for your favorites (it will be hard to choose just one) at the voting table on Saturday. One dollar = one vote. Proceeds benefit RevitalizeYC revitalization projects and future Hay Fest events.

The three displays with the most votes will win Chamber Bucks from Woodson County Chamber of Commerce!

Points will accumulate per event. The team with the highest total points, wins.

Cornhole Tournament: $

Chicken Sh*t BINGO: $

Similar to roulette, you purchase numbers. We feed the chicken some corn, and the number it poos on, wins $200!

Hay Rack Ride to Terror in the Timber: $

$10 admission

Kids 10 & under free

Rides begin at 7:30PM and depart from Light Hardware every 1/2 hour. Ends at 11:00PM.

Lampe Heritage Farm will provide the hay rack ride, telling spooky Woodson County history.
-
Then, you will walk through a dark, "haunted" timber. (This will not be a smooth path, so please plan accordingly.)
-
The Hay Rack Ride will take you back to Light Hardware.
-
Total time for the experience will be no more than 30 minutes.
Medallion Hunt:

Join the Facebook Event "Hay Fest 2022."
-
Clues will be posted every day at 5:00PM until the medallion is found.
-
A medallion is hidden - SOMEwhere. Your job is to follow the clues to the treasure!

Whomever finds the medallion claims the bounty of $100 Chamber Bucks!
Soup Supper and Called BINGO: $

Free-will donation Soup Supper featuring chili and vegetable beef soup, iced tea, and water.

Beer & cocktails available for purchase.

$10 for 10 games. Additional boards are $1 each. Prizes include gift baskets and Chamber Bucks.
Cosmic Bowling: $

We are excited to welcome you to the very first Hay Fest on the Historic Yates Center Town Square! This event continues our tradition of celebrating the Fall season and Woodson County's agricultural heritage each October along with the Friends for Life Breast Cancer Benefit Auction and Walk.
The event will be held on October 7th & 8th, 2022 on the Historic Yates Center Town Square.
Admission is free. Most kids activities are free. A $ denotes activities with a fee.
